Drew Bryant is a 2024 graduate of the University of North Texas Jazz Masters program in Denton, Texas and earned a bachelors in jazz studies from Elmhurst University in Elmhurst, Illinois.

Drew has worked as the Low-Brass Teaching Assistant at the orchestral session for Birch Creek Music Performance Center since 2022. There he works alongside trombonist Steve Duncan and tubist Charlie Schuchat coaching chamber ensembles and performing with the student ochestra.

Drew was selected to presented at the International Trombone Festival (ITF) in July of 2025 in London Ontario, Canada. His presentation, Creating Canon: A Pedagogical Approach to Avant-Garde Jazz Trombone, sought to create a foundational educational resource for learning and teaching 1960’s jazz avant-garde trombone.

He is currently the Assistant Band Director at CSD 113A in Lemont, Illinois. He teaches a private low-brass studio in the Chicagoland area which has seen many of its students make ILMEA in both jazz and classical. Drew is also a frequent clinician throughout the Chicagoland area.

Drew is currently available for clinics, masterclasses, in person lessons, and guest artist appearances. Drew also offers virtual lessons via Zoom.
